2006-01-18 [Veltzeh]: It'd be cooler if I came up with it on my own :P I had a nice idea for it but I forgot about half of it... oh, wait, yeah, I think my idea was something along the lines of antimatter encasing. Matter can have a speed of less than the speed of light, light (no matter) travels at the speed of light and antimatter has a speed greater than that of light. Does that make any sense?

2006-01-22 [Veltzeh]: I tried to find info about spacetravel in Cowboy Bebop, didn't find much >_> How does it happen? Is it similar to Babylon 5's hyperspace?

2006-01-22 [Duredhel]: Its hyperspace, or something similar, the difference is that its more realistic in the fact that individual ships would not have the space, budget and/or energy to carry their own hyperspace engines, sothey use "gates" instead. I think in Cowboy Bebop, though, the gates are more related to wormholes.

(I was just reading this article that said M type ateroids are composed of precious metals (platinum, nickel, the sort) with twice as much density as that of earth. So an M-Type of just 100 meters would contain several trillion dollars worth of platinum, for example.

2006-01-22 [Veltzeh]: Eh well, in Babylon 5 only the big ships have the engines that can generate a jump point to hyperspace because small ships can't do it, quite many ships use the jump gates anyway. ;) Yep, asteroids are worth a fortune... the question is, how's one gonna catch it, mine it and transport the stuff? XD
